My Easy Hamburger Recipes are not only extremely simple to prepare, but they’re also very light and nutritious, not to mention very tasty.
Instead of adding fat and bread crumbs, I use potatoes and carrots to enhance both flavor and quantity, making this an “economical” easy hamburger recipe.
The carrots and potatoes bring the extra flavor without compromising the hamburger taste. It’s a great way to make picky children eat vegetables.
I’m posting a second, more traditional, easy hamburger recipe as well. It is a little quicker to prepare, for it doesn’t require you to cook vegetables to add. And sometimes you crave a bit of fat in your food, right?
Go crazy with the toppings to make these hamburgers even more delicious!
It seems that Italian husbands love them as well!
- 1 lb. (0.5 kg) Lean ground beef
- 1 sachet Lipton's Easy Recipe Onion Soup
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 1 cup (230 g) cooked mashed potatoes
- ½ cup (115 g) cooked mashed carrots
- ¼ cup (60 g) chopped spring onions (optional)
- Peel the potatoes (about 3) and the carrots (1 or 2), cut in pieces and cook them in salted water until very tender. Drain, mash with a fork and set aside to cool;
- In a bowl, place the ground beef and season it with the onion soup, the ground pepper and the spring onions. Blend well;
- Add the cool mashed vegetables and mix everything well with your hands;
- Mold the patties and fry them on a large skillet over medium heat;
- Serve them on buns or on a plate with a side of salad, or a classic potato salad recipe (soon to come).
Tip:
- You may use the water in which the vegetables were cooked for soup or to cook rice. This water has vitamins and flavor
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 sachet Lipton's Onion Soup
- 2 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp Real Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- ⅓ cup bread crumbs
- Ground black pepper to taste
- lb lean ground beef
- sachet Lipton's Onion Soup
- Tbsp yellow mustard
- Tbsp ketchup
- Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- Tbsp Real Mayonnaise
- Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- /3 cup bread crumbs
- Ground black pepper to taste
Tips:
- You may add more bread crumbs or more mayo, depending if your patties are too soft or too firm.
- If you’re grilling, you may want to keep your patties a little firmer. Or line the barbecue grill with aluminum foil.
- If you are frying on a skillet, there is no need to put cooking oil on the pan because the mayo will release enough grease to fry them.
