Peel the bananas and place them on a greased ovenproof baking dish, covering the whole surface;
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and butter (or margarine) with a fork, until you get a moist coarse crumb;
pour the crumb over the bananas, covering it all, evenly;
Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until crust is formed and top is golden;
May be served hot or room temperature;
Goes great with whipped cream, heavy cream or vanilla ice cream.
