Easy Beef Tacos

Serves: 4
- 1 lb ground lean beef
- 3 green onions finely chopped
- 2 tsp chili powder (mild or medium)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ⅓ cup chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 8 corn tortillas (store bought, around 6 in. diameter)
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- In a wide non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, cook the meat stirring frequently until lightly brown
- Add the green onions and cook until soft (about 5 minutes)
- Stir in the dry seasonings until well combined
- Reduce heat and add the worcestershire and the chili sauces and continue to stir until everything is heated through (1 minute)
- Pour in a bowl and keep warm
- Wipe clean the same frying pan and return to medium-high heat until hot
- Lightly brush both sides of the tortilla with the olive oil
- One at a time, place tortilla on the frying pan for 30 seconds on one side, until slightly crisp
- Turn over tortilla, fold in half with the cooked side in, and cook another 30 seconds
- Transfer to paper towel to drain
- Repeat the same process with all remaining tortillas
- Keep tortillas warm until all are done
- Fill each taco shell with 3 spoons of the ground beef and add the filling to your taste
